Guiding lasting impact through trusted relationships and bipartisan bridges.
Our Story
Emily Bowers is the founding partner and principal of Fordwell Strategies, bringing more than a decade of experience in state and local policy, legislative strategy, and client advocacy.
Her expertise spans across the built environment, labor, energy, sustainability, and tax policy—allowing her to navigate complex issues with both technical skill and strategic insight. Emily’s approach goes beyond policy papers and legislative calendars: she believes the most effective change begins with the people it impacts. By engaging directly with communities and constituents, she helps bridge the gap between local voices and decision-makers, turning shared priorities into actionable policy.
The name Fordwell is inspired by her two sons, Ford and Wells—her greatest motivators and a constant reminder of why forward-thinking, future-focused work matters. Their influence fuels her commitment to advancing policies that make communities stronger, opportunities broader, and futures brighter.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in public policy from Northwestern University.
